"Live at the Jazz Factory" CD Now Available
The new live Coffee Achievers recording is officially available, both as a physical CD and as an Mp3 download, at CD Baby. The first printing is currently in short supply, and we are in the process of printing another order that will be available by mid-October '07. However, Mp3 downloads will always be available (gotta love that technology!). Look for it at iTunes, Amazon.com, and hundreds of other locations within the next few months.
New York Filmmakers travel to Poland to illuminate the legacy of a visionary jazz violinist
In October '07 Zach will be traveling to Poland, Germany, and Austria with a documentary film crew headed by director Erin Harper. Zach will be interviewing musicians, family, and friends of the late genius of modern jazz violin, Zbigniew Seifert, for the movie "Passion."While in Europe, Zach will also be performing with some of Zbigniew's former colleagues including Janusz Muniak and Jarek Smietana, for dates in Krakow, Nowy Sacz, and Czestochowa. While in Germany and Austria, Zach will be joining internationally renowned Polish vocalist Grazyna Auguscik for concerts in Munich, Nuremberg, and Vienna. The documentary will be released in the fall of '08. "Passion" is a sponsored project of IFP and The Polish Cultural Institute of New York. The four sets recorded for the new CD at The Jazz Factory were also captured by a three-camera crew of NYC filmmakers under the direction of Erin Harper. The result is an engaging portrayal of the energy, creativity and virtuosity that the Coffee Achievers have become known for. Currently in post-production, the CD/DVD contains almost 90 minutes of music, including 5 new songs and bonus materials.

On March 16 & 17, 2007, Zach Brock and The Coffee Achievers recorded their first live CD at the Jazz Factory in Louisville, KY. The four sets were captured by a three-camera crew of NYC filmmakers under the direction of Erin Harper. The result is an engaging portrayal of the energy, creativity and virtuosity that the Coffee Achievers have become known for. Currently in post-production, the CD/DVD contains almost 90 minutes of music, including 5 new songs and bonus materials, and is packaged in a beautiful 6-panel digipak. Pre-ordering is available through Google Checkout and all pre-orders will be shipped in advance of the official street date (tentatively set for Oct. 1). Zach and company would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the Coffee Achievers latest tour and recording such a success.
After shows in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago, the Coffee Achievers enjoyed a home-court advantage as they recorded for two nights at The Jazz Factory in Louisville, KY.
The new live CD and DVD chronicles brand new material, as well as some favorite compositions from the past two recordings.

ZACH BROCK & THE COFFEE ACHIEVERS will appear at the Ouro Preto Jazz Festival in Minas Gerais, Brazil on Saturady, September 23. Other artists appearing at this year's festival include Dave Holland, Toninho Horta, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jason Moran, and Kurt Elling.

| Time for NYC to Wake Up and Smell the Coffee |

ZACH BROCK & THE COFFEE ACHIEVERS will reconvene in support of BLACK GOLD, one of five headlining films at the 2006 Human Rights Watch International Film Festival.
The Andreas Kapsalis Trio and Zach Brock have organized one post-screening event and another featured night at GALAPAGOS ART SPACE, in Brooklyn. Both evenings will showcase select pieces from the documentary's film score, which was written by Andreas Kapsalis and performed by the Andreas Kapsalis Trio with special guest Zach Brock. Virtuoso cellist Adam Fisher will join in the fray, playing music from the film as well as selections from his new solo recording “Foreplay”. The Tuesday-night event will be a double-bill of the two bands playing their own original music, as well as music from the film. On top of the music, these nights will provide opportunities for Film Festival moviegoers and fans alike, to meet BLACK GOLD producers/directors, Marc and Nick Francis, who will also be in attendance.
PLEASE NOTE. Contrary to some posters and handbills publicizing the event(s), the Tuesday-night performances will START AT 9PM. Pass it on...

This morning on NPR's Weekend Edition, listeners were treated to sounbites of "Cold Turkey" and "Almost Never Was", bookends of the new CD "Chemistry" from Secret Fort Records.
The Coffee Achievers, along with new drummer Jon Deitemyer, will be touring the Midwest and east coast to support the new CD in August ’05.

| Versace/Potter/Cardinaux join Zach & Co in NYC |

This past Saturday marked the return engagement for Zach Brock at the Rockwood Music Hall, a cozy little listening room/bar located in the lower East Village, NYC. The formidable keyboardist Gary Versace and wunderkind drummer Greg Ritchie joined Matt Wigton (of the Coffee Achievers) and Zach for a set of originals culled from the Coffee Achievers songbook. Preceding their set was composer/pianist/vocalist Emilie Cardinaux and her band of all-star New York musicians that included Thomas Morgan, Steve Cardinas, Dan Weiss, and Chris Potter. Emilie and Chris joined Zach on “This Is Just” and “Common Ground”, respectively. Thanks go out to all of our friends from NYC, Chicago, and other places, that attended Saturday’s show and helped to make it so successful. Stay tuned for more east coast Coffee Achievers shows coming up in August.
